Your Trainer
Smart-trainer control for multi-rider households. One-time purchase. Local data, local control.
Built as a native app — lean enough to run smoothly on any Android 10+ tablet. Coming to iOS.
The tablet, the trainer, the training.
Live Dashboard
Train with an immersive terrain visualization showing real-time power, heart rate, and cadence. Effort maps to your power zones with high-contrast metrics designed for visibility during intense sessions.
From the cockpit you can pause, skip an interval, and tap the Repeat button to cycle through extra runs of the main intervals: 1×, 2×, 3×, or ∞. Warm-up runs once at the start, cool-down once at the end after the last loop; the badge shows the count remaining.
Route mode
Import a real-world route as GPX, FIT, or TCX, or download one straight from Strava — your saved routes and starred segments appear in the route picker as soon as you connect. Slope changes drive the trainer's resistance, virtual gears let you shift through the climbs, and the terrain visualization mirrors the elevation profile so you can see what's ahead.
From v2.1.0 the cockpit also draws the route on a live map with your position tracked along the line. Four layouts let you pick how to ride it: terrain only, map only, terrain with a map inset, or map with a terrain inset. Follow view keeps the map centred on you with the upcoming road pointing up — a sat-nav perspective for indoor riding.
Set a lap count to do a favourite loop two, three, or more times — adjustable at any time, before or during the ride. The cockpit shows the current lap and what's left to ride; per-lap times are tracked separately, and the Ghost Rider replays your previous best on every lap. Read the route guide →
Heart-rate Zone workouts — seven-zone LTHR
Anchor your intervals to heart-rate zones instead of wattage. From v2.1.0 the heart-rate system follows the seven-zone LTHR model used by Friel and intervals.icu — anchored to lactate-threshold heart rate rather than Max HR, with bands that line up bpm-for-bpm with the wider cycling-analytics ecosystem.
Your Trainer holds you in the target zone with HR Zone-Lock, gently adjusting trainer resistance as your heart rate drifts — and you can nudge it manually anytime with the cockpit's +/− buttons. Ideal for endurance, recovery, and Zone 2 sessions where heart rate is the truer measure of effort. Read the zones reference →
AI Coach & Visual Editor
Describe a session in plain language — "a 90-minute sweet-spot ride with three 12-minute blocks" — and the AI Workout Coach drafts the workout for you. From v2.1.0 the Coach is backed by the public MCP server, so every workout it returns parses cleanly. Tweak it in the visual editor: drag blocks to set duration, scrub the wattage to set targets, tap to add labels and coaching cues.
After your rides, the AI History Assistant on the workout history screen answers questions about your training — recent volume, where you're plateauing, what to try next. Read the AI skills guide →
Online workout library — 300+ workouts, inline
From v2.1.0 the workout-selection screen carries an Online Library section — a sticky group of curated structured workouts you can browse and install inline, no separate download step. The library covers Power and HR-Zone sessions across endurance, sweet spot, threshold, VO2max, and recovery work; over 300 workouts at launch, with more added between updates. Browse the library →
intervals.icu integration
From v2.1.0 you can pair Your Trainer with intervals.icu — the training-log and planning service built by a small team led by David Tinker. Connect once on Profile → Connected → intervals.icu and:
- Today's plan and the next few days of planned workouts appear at the top of the workout-selection screen.
- Your personal intervals.icu workout library browses inline alongside the bundled library.
- Completed rides upload back to intervals.icu as FIT files, complete with HR and power streams.
- LTHR pulls through both ways, so the seven-zone bands stay aligned on each side.
The integration is opt-in per rider and runs locally on your tablet. Read about intervals.icu →
Personal Bests
Every workout has a Personal Best tracked per rider — best average power for a structured session, fastest time for a route, best zone-time for a heart-rate workout. The post-ride summary celebrates improvements, and the library shows your current PB on every workout card so you always know what to beat.
On routes, the Ghost Rider replays your previous best so you can race yourself up the climb. Read about Personal Bests →
Multi-Rider Households
Create a profile for each rider in the household. Every rider has their own Functional Threshold Power (FTP), heart-rate zones, workout history, and Personal Bests — switching between riders takes a tap and nothing carries over.
The Family Leaderboard on the rider-selection screen ranks the household across power, climbing, endurance, and more. Family ghosts let you ride alongside another rider's previous attempt on the same workout or route. Each rider can export their own data anytime from Profile → Data. Read about riders & family →
Built for Tablets
Your Trainer is designed for Android tablets. Use split-screen to watch your favourite cycling content while you ride — race footage, music, or a virtual course — with your live metrics always visible alongside. A phone works too if a tablet isn't on hand; split-screen is just where Your Trainer really shines.
Smart trainer, ready in seconds
Connect to your smart trainer over Bluetooth FTMS — automatic reconnection on startup, ride starts as soon as you press START. See the hardware guide →
Session History & Strava
Review your workout history with detailed metric summaries. All data is stored locally on your device — your training history belongs to you. Push individual rides to Strava when you want them on your feed, on your terms; from v2.1.0 your saved Strava routes and starred segments are also available to ride from the route picker.
Your Trainer ships in nine languages — pick yours from the menu at the top of the page.
Coming to iOS
An iOS version of Your Trainer is in progress. No date yet — it ships when it's as solid as the Android app.

Privacy
Your Trainer follows the Your Applications pledge. All your training data stays on your device, every rider can export their own data anytime, and nothing leaves your tablet unless you ask it to. Read our privacy policy →

For Developers
We operate a public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at mcp.your-applications.com/your-trainer for indoor-cycling format conversion, training-load math, and workout authoring. Used by Your Trainer's own AI features; open for any MCP client. See the integrator documentation →
